Artist Ivy Egger teaches the relaxing art of painting on silk: the materials, different techniques, and how to use resist to create your design. You'll leave with a gorgeous, wearable piece of art.
Ivy Egger works mainly in mixed media mosaic, using cut glass, beads, mica, glitter and whatever else adds a sparkle. She lives in Southeastern Pennsylvania, where the landscape keeps inspiring her colorful pieces. She studied art from an early age, then at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and graduated from Millersville University with a B.A. in art, followed by design courses at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. She shows in exhibitions and galleries across the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond, including the Chester County Studio Tour, a solo show at Gryphon Cafe in Wayne, and the international Art Ability show at Bryn Mawr Rehab, where she received an honorable mention.
